FUNG CHEE treats HAY TUNG as her very dear friend and tells her about her husband's disloyality. This makes HAY TUNG feel shameful but still she cannot give up KWOK LEUNG. In order to expand his investments in Mainland China, KWOK LEUNG is forced to mortgage both his factory and flat to the bank. This is great pressure for him. FUNG CHEE cannot act as if nothing happens in front of KWOK LEUNG so she tries to avoid him. KWOK LEUNG feels there must be something behind her so he tries to find out from her. FUNG HEE can bear no more and speak frankly to him about his mistress. However, KWOK LEUNG still has not had any intention of withdrawal.
