On the surface, CHAI and WAH are driven away by YIP, but they are actually leaving Shanxi under the arrangement of KWAN HUNG as told by YIP. LAI arrests SUN in YIP’s residence in the west town. CHAI and WAH return to Pingyao to help YIP upon hearing the news. Ting Fung Shing suffers from a run as soon as the news of YIP’s arrest comes out. While WAH is doing all she can to comfort her family members, CHAI is busy requesting other branches to transfer silver dollars to the main branch. TIN is displeased for CHAI’s acting on his own accord. WAH tells him off. CHING realizes only now that WAH’s kindness to YIP is heartfelt. Relations among the family members have become harmonious.
