Rafael Trecu
Secretary of the Audiovisual Commission of the World Confederation of Underwater Activities and member of the International Association of Scientific Film. His beginnings in cinema are linked to the production of a series of reports for the Aranzadi Science Society. With Francisco Bernabé, with whom he founded the production company Ornis Films in 1969, he has produced and co-directed numerous short films and scientific documentaries. In 1985 he was elected president of the Association of Independent Basque Producers and co-director of the San Sebastian International Film Festival. His most notable works include: Bird Ringing (1962), The Pond (1962), Egypt (1965), Vultures (1965), The Marsh (1966), Birds of Prey (1967), The Imperial Eagle (1968), Arraunketa (1968) Doñana (1969), Navarra Agreste (1971), The Enchanted Ones (1974), Iberian Forests (1980), Hegats Horia (1983), awarded at the Cartagena Festival, La Amadraba (1985) and Mar Adentro (1985).
