MEI-KAM and HOK-YIU intend to leave Shanghai, but their plan is uncovered by SIU-SHAN, who thus locks the mother and son in their rooms. With the Chinese Sector falling into the hands of the Japanese military, KAM-TONG tries to persuade KWAI-SENG to flee from there, but KWAI-SENG insists on staying.
